Hikal Ltd. was founded in 1988 and makes active ingredients, intermediates and biocides for crop protection, pharma, animal health, biotech and specialty chemicals.
It has five plants (Taloja and Mahad in Maharashtra, Panoli in Gujarat, Jigani in Bengaluru) and an R&T centre in Pune, and provides full GLP data packs for country-specific registrations. In January 2024 it signed an MoU with the Gujarat government for a Rs 500 crore investment in its Panoli plant.
