Gharda Chemicals Limited is a research-based chemical company with five manufacturing units, making insecticides and herbicides as well as dyestuffs, veterinary drugs and polymers. It was founded in 1967 by Dr. K.H. Gharda.
Together with its subsidiary Gujarat Insecticides Ltd (GIL) it is among India's top three exporters and technical producers, with over 60% of turnover from exports. It is the first and only Indian company with US EPA registrations for Chlorpyrifos, Dicamba and Fipronil.
